Privacy
CoreVitals has no accounts and no database. Here is exactly what happens to data.
Stored in your browser
Your test history (URL, date, scores and metric values, up to 300 tests), the last list of sites you compared and, if you add one, your own PageSpeed API key are saved in your browser’s localStorage. They never leave your device unless you export a CSV. Clearing site data in your browser removes them, or use this button:
Sent to Google
When you run a test, your browser sends the URL you entered directly to Google’s PageSpeed Insights API, which loads that page from Google’s servers. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request.
Sent to the AI model
Only when you press “Get AI recommendations” or “Get AI gap analysis”, a compact summary of the test results (URL, metric values and audit titles; no screenshots, no personal data) is sent through our server to an AI model via Vercel AI Gateway to write the plan. We don’t store it. Requests are rate-limited per IP address, and the IP is held in memory only briefly for that purpose.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal data.
Accuracy
All results are informational estimates based on Google’s data at the time of testing and are not a guaranteed benchmark.
